Addiscombe builders’ merchants back charity Hear Us Croydon
Addiscombe-based builders’ merchants Harris and Bailey has pledged its support to local mental health charity, Hear Us Croydon, throughout 2026.
Neville Horsfield, managing director of Harris and Bailey, said: “As a business that’s been rooted in the Croydon community for more than a century, we believe in supporting the people around us.
“While we know that looking after your mental health is important for everyone, it’s something that the building industry particularly champions. That’s why we’re passionate about raising as much money as possible to help Hear Us Croydon continue the vital work they do locally.”
Harris and Bailey, on Hastings Road, is one of the largest independent building and plumbing distributors in the south of England. They equip the building and plumbing trade with a wide range of quality products, technical advice, knowledge and expertise to deliver the best job possible.
The charity partnership is part of Harris and Bailey’s wider commitment to supporting not only the industry but the Croydon community, too.
Tim Oldham, the chief executive at Hear Us Croydon, said: “We’re really pleased that Harris and Bailey has chosen us as its charity for the year. Their support will help us continue providing vital services to people living with mental health issues in Croydon.
“It’s also inspiring to see a business from the building trade taking such a proactive approach to championing mental health.”
