We were delighted to welcome Tomoji Miki, Managing Director of Daikin UK, to Harris & Bailey on Wednesday 6 August to visit our Sustainable Home Centre. He toured the showroom and training facilities, met our dedicated team, and saw first-hand how we're working together to support the transition to more energy-efficient homes.
Reflecting on his visit, Tomoji Miki said: "As we continue to explore innovative pathways to enhance customer experience, our recent visit to Harris & Bailey demonstrated the importance of looking beyond just selling heating equipment.
“We engaged in meaningful discussions centred around total solutions, including the integration of solar panels and controls to optimise energy use through automation. At Daikin, we are committed to delivering not just products, but holistic solutions that help our customers achieve greater efficiency and sustainability."
Harris & Bailey’s Renewables Manager, John Grinham, who was part of the team that met Tomoji Miki, commented: “We opened our Sustainability Centre in 2024 and it’s been hugely successful. We’ve hosted hundreds of installers, who have come to take part in the training so far. As Tomoji Miki rightly pointed out, it’s not just about products, it’s about making sure that installers have the right knowledge and tools so that we can help support the industry as a whole. Moving further towards more sustainable heating and cooling solutions has multiple benefits including cost saving, reducing emissions and improving energy efficiency, so we try to do as much as we can to help work towards that common goal.”
